Thanx for such a nice plugin.

One thing. I am using Championship mode. Presently in Semi-final and Final matches it is showing 1-GroupA and 2-GroupB for first semi-final and 2-GroupA and 1-GroupB for second semi-final.

How do I update positions for Group A and Group B and show actual team for Semifinals and Finals.

This will be done automatically by the plugin as soon as every preliminary match is done (has a score).

    Hi there,

Thank you for your great plugin. I have few questions and I hope you can answer.
    1. I am trying to integrate LeagueManager with projectManager. How do I bridge the two? How do I add players to teams? It would be great if I could find an example online.
    2. I am building a website for a rugby club and the ranking system is a little different from the one already implemented. See here for details
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rugby_union_bonus_points_system
How do I modify the ranking system?

    Hope you can help.
    Thanks

Kolja Schleich :This will be done automatically by the plugin as soon as every preliminary match is done (has a score).

Some it is not happening for me. Please see http://epl.reta.in/matches/

We have two groups A and B with 3 teams each. Each team in a group play with every one other. Topper in each group advances to Semi Final.

    However I still see 1 Group A – 2 Group B and 2 Group A – 1 Group B for Semis.

I have already updated scores for all matches.

    Hi Kolja,
    Thanks for this wonderful plugin!
    I have a little problem:
I use the three-point rule for soccer.
Excuse me, my english isn’t good.
This image can help me to explain the problem:

The team with 0 goals average would have to be first that the one that has -8 goals against.

    I agree with Daniel!

The rankings for a soccer table are not correct.

It should rank by points, then goal difference, then goals scored for most soccer leagues.

Also, would it be possible to have the goals scored and goals conceeded in different columns in the table?

Also there is no such thing as joint 13th place etc.

I agree with David. But the order of the soccer table isn’t very difficult to edit I guess.

But I really need a different column for the goals conceeded.

Great plugin, it appears to have a lot of potential. I am looking at using it for a youth soccer team (http://www.caslshocks.org). I ran into import issues (commented elsewhere) but also found a couple of other things:

    1) If I don’t include a logo for a team, a broken image is displayed for the team detail.

    2) If I try to upload a logo, I get a bunch of errors.

    3) If I try to link to an existing logo, I also get odd behavior.

    4) I am unable to get the LM widget to work correctly. Is the usage outlined somewhere?

Thanks – your plugin could be a real benefit to our team.

This is the problem I am seeing with Logos – any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong? I have no issues with standard WP Media operations.

Ran into another issue – deleting a season generates a MySQL error:

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'CHALLENGEfest ORDER BY `rank` ASC, `id` ASC' at line 1]
    SELECT `title`, `website`, `coach`, `logo`, `home`, `group`, `roster`, `points_plus`, `points_minus`, `points2_plus`, `points2_minus`, `add_points`, `done_matches`, `won_matches`, `draw_matches`, `lost_matches`, `diff`, `league_id`, `id`, `season`, `rank`, `status`, `custom` FROM cs_leaguemanager_teams WHERE `league_id` = 1 AND `season` = 2009 CHALLENGEfest ORDER BY `rank` ASC, `id` ASC

Also – the name of tables used by LeageManager don’t account for the WordPress prefix – what happens if multiple implemneations of WordPress share a database? I do this with one club which has 6 teams. Each team has a blog and seperate WordPress install but all use the same database with different WOrdPres table prefixes.

The problem with this is the season name (2009 CHALLENGEfest) needs to be surrounded with quotes. I think you have SQL problems in several places where labels with spaces are not handled correctly.

Ignore the comment about the WordPress table prefix, I was wrong on that – LeageManage does account for it. Sorry for the bad feedback.

Kolja, thanks for this great plug-in. Ive been using it for quite some time now, but only today I got to use the Championchip feature. I’m not very good at coding, but i’ve noticed someting. When displaing the championship on a page, in the Final Matches section, the Begin time is the current PC time (at least in my case).
So i modified the code from
    time ?>
    to
    hour.”:”.$match->minutes ?>
and now it works just fine
